A bit hard to remember the date, but imo it's definitely worth waiting for RPGMaker XP (the version used for Pokemon Essentials) to go on sale then buying it at a lowered cost. ago I got RPGMaker 2003 and XP for a very low price during a Steam sales event in the summer of last year ().
